I couldn’t help it. I got excited about Silent Night and Droid Tracks, and then remembered how much I love Locale.

I had to do this, and the android scripting environment made it too easy.

Here comes Judge Droid – he makes your phone obey the rules.

You can plug in rules or set up events – an event is something like turning off the ringer at night. You just want that to happen once – if I turn the ringer back on because I’m up late, I don’t want the Judge to turn it back off. A rule is something where you want something to be constantly monitored. I might come and go from my workplace, but I want my ringer off any time I’m near work. Currently the Judge wakes up every 8 minutes ¹ and makes sure your phone is following the rules.
