Bocce Season Begins
Old Dirty Barristers is representing in the Floyd Bocce Tournament. Last season we came in second, this time we are going for the gold. Training will begin immediately in our firm’s training camp.

I know quake is free now, but couldn’t they have trained it on a copy of the sims instead?
update: I can’t find the article anywhere now. Found it in my feed reader, it was about scientists who were growing a neural net using cultured dog brain slices. They were supposedly training it by using a grid of electrodes somehow connected to a game of quake. The more I think about it, the fishier it sounds. Having read recently about how neural nets actually work when used by scientists, it is hard to believe bunging some electrodes in -> playing a rendered 3d game. I will try to be more careful in the future. This article was something I found and wrote about while on the subway, so I couldn’t read further about it first.

After not publishing for approximately forever, Fafblog is back, and I only knew because I was faithful and reverent and had it in my bloglines.

We reach in the ol cardboard box an pull out a rusty coke can. “Not albatross!” says me.
“This is stupid!” says Giblets. “Albatross Or Not Albatross is the lamest game ever!”
“Now to be fair it was a lot more excitin back before we ran outta albatrosses,” says me.
It only gets better from there. Fafblog is the thing on the internet most likely to cause my actual real face to have an actual real smile on it.
